TFF to pay Sh8m for Ngorongoro Heroes cards

Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has to part with $ 5,000 (about Sh8 million) as a fine after Ngorongoro Heroes picked up five yellow cards during their Africa Under-20 Championship showdown against Sudan on Saturday.
The Heroes lost 2-1 to the dogged Sudanese, but advanced on a 4-3 goal aggregate thanks to an all important penalty goal by TP Mazembe marksman Thomas Ulimwengu.
The tension packed return leg encounter played at the Khartoum Stadium, saw Djibouti referee Aden Abdi Djama dish out the cards to the Tanzanian boys and according to CAF regulations, the country’s soccer federation has to pay the fine.
TFF information officer Boniface Wambura named the players who picked the cards as; Aishi Manua, Ramadhan Hamis, Dizana Yaruku, Ramadhan Singano and Omega Seme.After bundling out Sudan, Tanzania will now face Nigeria on July 28 in a two-legged battle with the first match pegged at the National Stadium.
