Due to the commencement of a major international project our client is currently looking for a number of subsea engineering specialists to be based at their engineering and projects offices in London or internationally in locations including Angola and Nigeria – working on massive multinational projects with major clients.
Responsibilities: – Responsible for ensuring the components that comprise the subsea system function together to meet the system requirements. Typical components include: Subsea Trees, Tubing, Hangers and Related Running Tools, Manifolds, Valving, Jumpers and Connectors, Foundation Structures. The oil tool system engineer will work closely with the individual package engineers for the disciplines outlined above.
External InterfacesWork in close harmony with the External Interface Manager, for the particular subsea project, to ensure that all external interfaces are considered and duly closed out.Internal InterfacesCoordinate with the Internal Interface engineer to ensure all internal interfaces are properly managed.DesignResponsible for the preparation and generation of the Design Basis Memorandum in conjunction with the Control System Engineer.Review and Functional Design Specifications from the individual package engineers.Design ReviewsResponsible for directing and coordinating the system design review in conjunction with the Control System EngineerMaintain design review action register in conjunction with Control System Engineer.Preparation of System Documents such as: -Project system procedures and plans.System P&ID’s.System block diagramsSystem drawing listRisk Assessment, HAZOP’s etc.Help coordinate the necessary reviews in conjunction with the project HSE manager and the Control system engineer.Ensure closure of any actions arising from the reviews pertaining to engineering requirements.MaterialsGenerate the material list matrix for the project in conjunction with the Control System engineer and the metallurgy department.Manage and coordinate the preparation of the Materials Design Memorandum in regard to the Subsea Tree, Manifolds, Jumpers and Foundations, by the project metallurgy engineer.Soil AnalysisManage and coordinate the analysis work undertaken to verify the foundation structures.Work closely with foundation engineer to review and develop detailed foundation specifications to meet the project requirements.Flow AssuranceManage and coordinate the analysis work undertaken to meet project flow assurance requirements.Provide information to allow the thermal analysis to be undertaken, if required.Review the system with the flow assurance specialists to ensure compatibility with hydrate prevention strategy, chemical injection requirements, effects of slugging etc.Riser analysisManage and coordinate the timely conclusion of any BOP riser analysis work required to support the design of the jumper system. Confirm the wellhead and mating tree connector loading is maintained within the wellhead and connector limitations.Reliability, Availability. Maintainability (RAM)Assist the Control system engineer in providing relevant information for the RAM study.Operation, Installation and MaintenanceGenerate the system O&M manual in conjunction with the Control system engineer.Review installation procedures.Ensure interfaces relating to installation are worked properly and closed out.Review operating procedures.Conduct ROV accessibility study.Review spare parts list.
