Ondo ACN guber aspirants resolve to work with Akeredolu
Eleven of the Ondo State gubernatorial aspirants under the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) have resolved to work with Rotimi Akeredolu so as to win the October 20 election in the state.
Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, former Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) has been chosen as the gubernatorial candidate of the broom party in the state for the forthcoming election in October.
The party said it had reviewed all processes and procedures leading to the final endorsement of one of the aspirants as the candidate of the party and the structure and strategies aimed at winning the election.
At a forum of guber aspirants of the ACN in Osogbo with Governor Rauf Aregbeosola, they agreed to work with the chosen candidate and ensure that the party emerged victorious in the coming election.
According to the aspirants, “we are committed to the emergence of ACN in Ondo State and we shall do everything within our power to ensure that our great party emerges victorious in the October 20, 2012 gubernatorial poll.”
While saying that the people of the state has been allegedly short-changed by the Labour Party, they stated that the people needed to enjoy the dividend of democracy as is being witnessed in all other ACN states.
In a resolution signed by the eleven aspirants, they said that “the ACN has commenced the process of bringing hopes and aspirations of our people to fruition.”
They, however, called on co-aspirants who were absent at the meeting to join hands with the candidate to win the October 20 election.
The members of the party, they noted, should not be distracted by enemies of collective resolve, saying “Our hope is renewed and we confident of victory.”
Those present at the meeting with Governor Aregbesola were Soji Iji, Abegunde Ifedayo, Ajatta Jaiyeola, Wale Akinterinwa, Ajayi Borofice Robert and Olatayo
