LUNCH ON DAY TWO: ENGLAND 326-7
1.08pm: That was undoubtedly South Africa’s session, with four wickets being taken for the concession of just 59 runs. The first hour in particular, where England finished 19-3, has had a real impact on the match. England will hope to push their total towards 400 when we resume at 1.40pm.
Sportsmail’s Paul Newman at the Oval: ‘What a brilliant morning for South Africa. That’s more like it. That’s what were ere expecting from them. The cloud cover and muggy conditions helped but the bowling was much better this morning and the plans were more thoughtful. Ravi Bopara and Tim Bresnan will be desperately disappointed with their shots but a score of 400 could be a really good one here, particularly if the clouds remain. The
